This session will support trusts and schools in planning and executing their procurement activity compliantly, whilst achieving value for money. There will be a focus on the new Procurement Act 2023, and associated Procurement Regulations 2024. We will cover key changes, opportunities and risks that are being introduced, alongside key timelines. We will also explain the main headlines of Transforming Public Procurement, what they mean for the schools’ sector, and where you can go for further support.

Introduction
Gain an understanding of the Annual Accounts Return, including its purpose, deadline, audit requirements and the required data to complete the return. We will discuss the Department for Education’s academy chart of accounts regarding this return introduce you to the Academies Accounts Return (AAR) workbook to ensure readiness for the more detailed session on completing the return.

In-depth
We will discuss the specific information required for each section, along with its respective sources. Gain insight into addressing validation errors, and strategies to resolve them. We will discuss the online submission process for the Annual Accounts Return, followed by a Q and A.

In this session, we will explore the Department for Education (DfE) ICFP tools which are accessible to schools before defining and calculating some of the ICFP metrics. We will offer guidance on how to incorporate meaningful discussions regarding ICFP during strategic meetings.

This webinar will provide a holistic approach to your wider strategies and how these feed into your school development plans and vision. We will make reasonable assumptions for future multi-year forecasting of expenditure and revenue and introduce scenario planning whilst considering local context. We will share best practice on presenting financial information.

This webinar will highlight the benefits of good strategic estate management, provide practicable examples, which will help you drive financial savings and improve sites and buildings compliance and sustainability.
